I wanted a mount which requires very little sheetrock work. This mount just requires making a clean cut using the outside of the provided template. Care should be taken where the notch is; there is only 1 or 2mm wide coverage here. Otherwise there is a 2mm deep/thick frame around the hole for the mount which will cover sheetrock. I don't like the idea that I have to do additional sheetrock work and painting which is the reason for this design. The cut template on this one is on the outside of the template; not the inside. When the 10" display 2 is mounted, it's nearly flat on the wall. The original 7" model was 3mm, this model is 2mm using PETG+ CF. It's plenty rigid. When on the wall, it's virtually invisible.
I've gotten into using a heat tool to "weld" the pieces together. You can certainly still use epoxy, but I've found that using the heat tool, it makes a very good bond; better than the epoxy.
You can use this mount horizontally or vertically.
The display should fit tightly in the mount. To secure further, use flat neodymium magnets. Look

This, however, was created from scratch with little reference to the originals, but I'll still give credit for the original design.
