Designed this simple solder fume extractor reusing an old DC fan.
Purchased some activated carbon filter material from amazon and cut it to size. Many filter options exist and the filter can be deleted if desired.
The .stl files are for a 80mm fan which is 30mm thick and assume the use of an 8mm thick filter.
But, the included Fusion360 archive is fully parametric, including variables for:
fan diameter
fan thickness
filter thickness
So, feel free to create your own design for whatever fan works best for you.
