I wanted to create a soap dish that was simple and could drain easily while serving multiple functions. If you use cast iron pans or enamel cook ware, you may have a set of hard scrubbers to remove gunk. I wanted somewhere to put these and drain. For soap I wanted something that could drain and not cause the soap to stick, which I've found many soap dishes have problems with the soap deforming and sticking to the dish. Thus I've created a gentle curved soap dish with pillars to hold up soap or my scrubbers.
