The simple version cut a hole in the bag and glue the rim to the inside of the bag.
Stitch Version
To assemble cut a hole in the bag and glue the rim to the inside of the bag. glue the o ring to the outside of the bag and stitch in the holes. Use a cable tie to attach the lid.
