Our daughter recently purchased an eight-needle needlefelting tool. It's a big productivity boost for her, but also an unintentional bloodletting waiting to happen! Hence this storage tube. I glue a small disc of foam into the bottom of the tube to keep the needles from getting blunted when the tool is dropped into the tube. “Mr Stabby” branding is an optional extra; it was a laser label.
