The windmill 'De Keetmolen' is a nice windmill, close to the place where I live.
For example see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Keetmolen,_Ede
My friend Hans is an apprentice miller there and we decided to model the thing.

At first I used photos and information in 'the mill database'. Later on together with Hans we made many measurements.
I draw the mill in the 3D-program Sketchup.
From Sketchup export to STL and there we go.

As a 3D-printer I have a Creality Ender-3 and that is one of the reasons I use scale 1:200.
In real life the hill has a diameter of 24 meters and the mill itself is some 20 meters high.

I had a vague plan to print lots of them and sell (or give) the models to 'friends of the mill' (they have a facebook group).
But printing (and assembly) is way too much work for my hobby printer (and my own spare time).
Therefore I placed the files in the public domain.

For printing no support is necessary.
Infill 10% is enough.

Assemby is pretty obvious and you need a little bit of glue.

The body (romp.stl) must be glued upon the hill (belt.stl)
On the hill you should glue the platform (vlonder.stl) and the fence (hekje.stl). But they are not absolutely necessary.

The windmill blades have a separate axe, That way I could print it nicely without support. The axe should be glued into the blades.

the 'hood' of the mill (kap.stl) is its most complex part. You should glue the 'tail' (staart.stl) and the remstok.stl in the obvious places.
Put the axe of the blades in the hood. Don't glue it.
Hood is placed without glue on the body.

So blades and hood both can rotate.
