Printable parts for creating silicone mold - cast your own design-ish soaps. Including models in step format for simple remixing.
You would need:
- Soap positive (printable, four designs included)
- Mold base (printable)
- Mold shell (printable)
- Two-part silicone
- Soap base
- Soap additives and colors (optional)
Steps to create Silicone Mold:
- Print mold base, mold shell and at least one soap positive
- Post process the soap positive (optional step)
- Assemble mold shell and mold base (securing it with some adhesive tape is recommended)
- Prepare two-part silicone (degassing should not be mandatory)
- Prefill lettering on Soap Positive
- Place Soap Positive into assembled mold base
- Pour Silicone over the soap positive until fully covered
- Wait to cure
- Carefully remove Mold Base, Walls and Soap Positive (in this order)
Once the mold is done, creating soap is only mater of melting soap base, adding whatever additives you want and pouring it into a mold (and waiting until cooled down).
