Hatchet safety cap secured by rare earth magnets. The Fusion 360 model has parametric features. The height of the blade (bladeheight) and magnet diameter (magdia) can be adjusted to accommodate the tool and magnets. The current model blade height is 95mm. The magnets for this particular model are 10mm x 2mm and doubled up to increase the holding strength of the cap. The gcode print settings provide for for 100% infill for the 5mm thick base facing the cutting blade. There is basically a single layer of PTEG remaining between the magnets and the hatchet head. The magnets are a friction fit but may need superglue or epoxy depending on the 3d print.
