This was created from a desire to make a grinder that was compact, east to print, easy to use and easy to store.

My mother has a rather large herb garden that is constantly supplying our family with everything needed to spice up our cooking. One thing that was missing however, was a way to mill it into useable flakes. Enter the Toothless grinder Mk5!

I found a design years ago on Thingiverse (will link it if I can find it) and thought that this would work perfectly for my purpose. I've made multiple revisions and come up with this…the MK5v10 toothless grinder.

Why toothless? No more fiddly prints and a much, much more robust item. There's no little spikes/blade that can snap off and ruin a good tool. No need for a catcher either as it double as it's own storage unit (see the magnets section below).

Designed completely from the ground up (Fusion 360 files available on request) to be the best and most efficient herb grinder that you can print. Trust me, I have over 50 testers using these and several have come back to me asking for more after they're lost them or given them to friends. This will grind your herbs to flour-like quality to ensure maximum diffusion in your concoctions.

Want more? Fine, I will give you more. You may have noticed the divot in the middle of the top & bottom sections. Guess what, these are for 8x3mm magnets. Install a pair of these and you can carry your grinder around without fear of it spilling it's herby goodness. Trust me, they've been tried from 2 metres (6' for our US cousins) and they won't spill out! (I also have a version that take 8x2mm magnets if you'd rather go down the cheaper route…spoiler alert, still works as well, just depends on what you can source easily).

Okay, I can tell that you want something special, something that will set you apart from the crowd. What if I told you that each one of these can be individually personalised? Would that satisfy you? The top ring screws on and off so that you can drop an image in to make it your own, unique item. Heck, you can even cut out a circle of acetate/laminate or whatever you want to protect your image (or logo, not judging).

Printing instructions:

Could not be easier.

Stick it it your slicer, bump infill to 10% or higher, at least 3 walls, no support/raft/brim and just print. This is a fire and forget print, tested over four years or more.

TLDR: This is a grinder that makes flour-like end product and looks as awesome as you want it to look, end of.
