Born of frustration that I had too many spice jars, it's hard to see what's in the cupboard unless I dig and they're never all the same size, this spice storage solves all the issues I was having.

  • Sizes - the inserts allow smaller jars to be held snugly  so they don't fall over
  • Visibility - the rack concertinas outwards from the cupboard so you can see behind
  • Too many - well this isn't fixed, I intend to design a part to allow vertical stacking by attaching to the inside wall of the cupboard

Printing

Spice boxes: Rotate so that the bottom is downwards, add support under / between the joining corners.

Inserts: Print as is, no supports needed

Assembly

You will need some M4x30mm bolts, nuts not required. Align one Wall container (left or right depending on handedness), one or more Standard containers across your cupboard, insert bolts into the holes from the top. For the next row start with a Join container attached to the last Standard container, then continue with Standard containers.

Print inserts for your spice jars and drop them in. I recommend the inserts being 2mm wider than the actual jars, as you don't want them to get stuck.

Design

Made in OnShape (see link)

Todo

Add a part which will be attached into the inside cupboard wall and anchor the Wall end piece.

GCode for illustration purposes only, I usually use Cura.
