⚠ For Polyform Puzzle Enthusiasts Only
This puzzle is practically impossible to solve without computer assistance. The saw blade shape shown has only two solutions.
The main appeal is using a puzzle solver to discover new shapes that can be made with the pieces. My program is available as a free download.
🧩 Tridrafter Puzzle
The puzzle consists of 14 pieces and a storage box with a sliding lid. Each piece consists of three connected triangles with angles of 30°, 60°, and 90°. The puzzle pieces are used on both sides.
🖨 Print Settings
Material: PLA · No supports · No raft
You can print the snap-fit lid with either side on the print bed. For a nicer finish on the visible surface, place the top side face down.
You can ignore the slicer warning caused by the breakaway connection of the spring tabs underneath the lid.
🔧 Before Using the Lid for the First Time
Release both spring tabs before sliding the lid into the box. Otherwise, the lid may get stuck and become very difficult to remove.
Press the two spring tabs underneath the lid inward, one at a time, to release them. You should hear a small snap.
If a spring tab is difficult to release: Place a hard board on the table. Hold the lid on its edge and press the spring tab against the board to release it. Repeat for the other spring tab if needed.
The animation in the image gallery shows how to release the spring tabs.
💡 Tip for Better-Looking Puzzle Pieces
For a consistent finish on both sides, print two sets at half thickness. To do this, lower the pieces 1.6 mm into the build plate in your slicer, mirror one set, and glue the matching halves together.
