This IKEA Tradfri dimmer holder serves two purposes.
- mount the Switch to the wall
- avoid switching off the power with the “old” wall switch
GIRA brand Wall switch with an opening of 55mm x 55mm
It's designed to work with a 6mm magnet to allow easy removal of the IKEA dimmer.
Alternatively use a drop of hot glue for a more permanent mount. Don't use too much to allow for battery change. :)
Simply remove the original light switch plate, and keep the switching mechanic in the “on” position. The printed adapter slides into the spot and requires no further fixation.
