The threaded part of the plastic motor housing that doubles as the mount for the fan's protective cage (with a large finger nut) broke on my fan. The threaded section literally tore off and the fan cage was bouncing on the spinning fan's shaft until it got bound up.
I designed this part to work with the remaining portion of the plastic motor housing. I used a utility knife to trim the some of the remaining plastic of the motor housing to provide clearance for this new part.
The design adds a raised ring to help locate the metal cage centered around the motor shaft and carry the weight of the fan when it's lifted by the cage's handle.
This remix rescaled the threaded part to better match the threaded part on the original Bionaier part, and those creating a much better fit.
