Simple “puzzled” vase with puzzle shape locking mechanism and grooves for filament strings to customize overall design.
My print settings:
- PLA 214C/60C (copper & black)
- 0.4mm nozzle
- 0.6mm extrusion width
- 0.3mm layer height
- Vase mode (of course) - 3 bottom layers
- print time ~1h 10m (for one half)
Instructions:
Print two halves (different colors looks better) which will slide together, put filament strings to the grooves which will “secure” the vase against “unscrewing”. Use your creativity for color variants.
Clearance between two halves is 0.4mm, filament grooves are 2.25mm diameter (1.75+clearance+0.1mm) and filament slides right in with little to no force.
Model is optimized for above print settings. If you have different nozzle size, try to alter the model parameters in onshape, print just small part of it (cut it directly in the slicer) and try to put filament into groves before you print whole model.
For better stability, fill with some sand.
