I needed a dust shoe for the Lead Machine and didn't see many options i liked so I came up with this. I wanted the type that stayed at a consistent level and didn't move with the routers Z. . It is easy to slide out to set your tool height, then snap the shoe in, adjust with the cam lock till its just touching the top surface of your material and lock it in.

Brush

To build the bush I used a HF $1.99 hand broom and plucked the bristles. Used drinking straws to contain them and allow me to place them with medium CA glue. Then made a wood form to fit the center and taped around the outside to trim the length.

Mounting ========

Mount and latches

Use a Quick clamp to hold both supports in place, top should be just under the corner radius of the plate. Then use the holes in the support to mark and drill for M3 tapped holes. I took the front plate off the 2nd plate to allow me to turn it sideways to drill.

The latches use cut down springs from a pen, and filament pieces or large paperclips for the pins.
