Since I tape my portable AC window adapter into my window to prevent infiltration of warm, humid air into the house, when I put the AC unit away for the winter, I have a massive draft.
This damper will allow you to change the amount of cold air that is allowed into the room during the winter.
Really handy for those that like to sleep in a colder room.
