As an avid music listener at the office, I often have my wired (3.5mm) headphones connected with my laptop. I also receive multiple phone calls on my DECT phone at work and I found it too much of a hassel to pause my music, take off my headphones, answer the DECT and reverse the process after the call.
So I came up with this custom DECT cradle in 2018, this was also my first ever 3D adventure. This made it possible to have two inputs (DECT and AUX) and a toggle switch in between made it possible to keep my headphones on. I also added a momentary push button to have basic controls, i.e. answer calls.
Parts needed to complete the project:
- A 3.5mm TRRS cable male-male
- A momentary push button
- A 4-way toggle switch
- A 3.5mm jack
The project did have its flaws, as this was my very first 3D printed thingy.
