Origami flapping bird
…but it's 3D printed. I wanted to create something unusual, so I added mechanical twist to bubble-head toy concept. My inspiration was origami crane (or swan), which is also able to move wings. Instead of pulling the tail (if origami is folded correctly), I used kinetic energy of moving body of the bird. Keep in mind, that this is rather an experiment, not a finished product. Feel free to modify the design. I added STEP and Fusion360 source file to make it easier. For better print resoult, turn off detecting thin walls in Prusa Slicer.
Spring is inspired by @3dprinty bobblehead designs.

Materials and tools needed:
- 3D printer + filament (obviously)
- 2 steel paper clips (or 1mm steel wire)
- Pilers
- Glue

Assembly:
1 - Print all the parts, the bird should be printed-in-place
2 - Glue two mounting points to the wings of the bird

3 - Glue bird, spring and base together

4 - Bend paper clip (or steel wire) according to drawing below. 4 mm sections on the ends are made to securing paper clip on place (bend after mounting). 6mm section in the middle is for adjusting the lenght of the clip.

5 - Mount bended paper clip according to picture below

6 - Enjoy your toy!
