After a having a problem with my guiding due to dew, I decided I need a solution fast. I could save the night with an empty toilet paper roll 😅, but a more permanent solution was needed.
This is a custom dew shield for the SV165 Mini guide scope which can be easily popped on the front of the scope. It is an exact fit, so it should be easy to put it on and off, while sitting tight in place during your imaging session. The original cap of the guide scope still fits on this dew shield, so you can also leave it there permanently.
I only found 2 other options on the internet, one which uses threads and seems overly complicated and a second one to clip on. I printed that one, but it was so tight to clip on that it broke while attaching it. So I designed this one myself and I hope you enjoy this version as well.
This fits the “old” 30mm version of the SV165.
