A clipboard design with oversize clip that can be entirely 3D printed.

An alternate ‘flat’ version can be printed which uses a metal binder clip from your local office supply store, but what's the fun in that  :p

This model looks great when using Co-Extrusion filament. Set the top and bottom skin layers to concentric for best results when using this type of filament.

Instructions:

Print the Clipboard flat with the notch facing up, any material works here as long as it's compatible with the clip. Use a decent % grid infill.

Print the clip on it's side out of a material that is rigid but resists permanent deformation with repeated flexing, such as PETG. Using an adhesion promoter and brim is highly recommended because the contact area is small.

Attach the parts using an appropriate adhesive. A chemical welding agent such as 3D gloop (Methylene Chloride) tends to work best on PLA and PETG, and can even do a pretty good job joining PLA clipboard + PETG clip. A more easily available option would be to print in ABS/ASA and use acetone to weld.
