This box is designed as a simple continuity tester to check for crossed wires and brakes in wires. Use the three buttons to make sure that you do not have a crossed wire, then turn on the switch and twist/bend the cable to see if and where the cable is broken.
I used Neutrik NC3MP 3-Pin XLR and Neutrik NC3FP-1 3-Pin XLR for the xlr connectors.
Also, I would suggest extra perimeters or solid infill around screw holes.
