This is a manual tool for finishing a 45° chamfer. It requires four m3 screws for tightening a sandpaper stripe, which should be just a bit larger than the chamfer (extra space is made in the design to this end). The triangle shaped sides ensure that the sanding surface stays at the right incidence to keep the chamfer flat.
Customization
The three main parameters that can be customized are
- the width of the chamfer (default is 10mm)
- the overall tool length
- the width of the sides, which should be adapted to the bar section
Many other things can be customized, such as thickness and screw size parameters. You may want to increase back_t, so that it is larger than the screw head diameter (the default is 5mm, which requires screws with a really small head).
Printing
You need to print the main part and two clamp parts. The STL files are already oriented for easy printing. No supports are required.
