To give my Sovol SV04 more stability - especially in large Z-height - I constructed a frame reinforcement.

To give my Sovol SV04 more stability - especially in large Z-heights and because of the up to 2 kg filament on top of the frame - I constructed a reinforcement. As inspiration I used the project of 3Dmaich.
The reinforcement consists of:
- Bracket_Top_Right
- Bracket_Top_Left
- Mounting_Right
- Mounting_Left (with cable protection)
- 2x aluminiumprofile 20x20L B-type nut 6, each 582mm long
- I had the aluminum profiles cut to size when I bought them.
Instead of Mounting_Left you can use a second Mounting_Right.
Screws for top:
- 4 M5x35
- 8 M5x10 + 8 T-nuts
- 2 M5x8 (if desired)
Screws for bottom:
- 12 M5x10 + 12 T-nuts
Assembly:
I first prepared the two upper brackets (Top_Right / Top_Left) with the M5x10 screws and T-nuts and then mounted them with M5x35 screws (and M5x8) onto the Sovol SV04.
Then I attached Mounting_Left and Mounting_Right to the 582mm aluminum profiles.
After that, I moved those aluminum profiles into the upper brackets and then slided them into the frame profile at the bottom. (Removing the two rear plastic caps will help.)
Finally I tightened all screws.
The assembly is a bit fiddly. But fortunately you have to do only once :-)
