Designed to be bolted to the top of a standard rear bike rack without interfering with the side rails. Should fit most lights with clips, but was only tested on Planet Bike and Cateye designs. Supports definitely required. Recommend printing in the provided orientation to maximize the strength of the clip.
I printed mine in PLA using variable layer height and a .8mm nozzle and have to say it's worked fine. But if I were to do it again I'd definitely switch to PETG and .2mm layers. PLA just gets too brittle too fast when it's being taken outside all the time for me to have any trust in the clip's ability to stand up to repeated flexing, and the variable layer height means it's probably weaker than it looks to shearing forces around the bolt.
For installing the mount I used a single M3 cap head machine screw with a washer and secured it with a nylon locknut, driven straight through the empty rivet hole that used to hold on the rack's L-bracket, but with the screw trench you should be able to keep your L-bracket on if you prefer and just drill a new hole wherever makes sense. Mine is also nestled right into the rear tubing on the rack to stabilize it so I didn't really need more than the one screw, but other rack designs might do better with two screws instead to keep it from wiggling as you ride.
