Standard:

  • Plastic casing installed dimensions: XY: 46mm, Z: 6mm
  • Coin inside casing dimensions: Thickness: 0.12 inches (3mm), Length/Roundness: 1.57 inches (40mm)

Small:

  • Plastic casing installed dimensions: XY: 45mm, Z: 6mm

The exact shelf bracket used can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5573085. Note that the "Blender STL Export Options.txt" file is only applicable to versions V7 and later, as earlier versions were not intended for printing.

For versions V9 to V1, STL files are not provided as they are development versions and not intended for printing. Only blender files are provided for these versions.

Varies How I Designed This ===================

Designing:

I measured a challenge coin and modeled it in Blender. Then, I built the walls and added the tab that prevents the coin from falling out. Finally, I incorporated the cut design. There was a lot of trial and error involved, and I figured out along the way that a second tab was pretty important.

I used the percentage difference calculator () to make both sizes identical in function, just bigger and obviously a calculator.

Software:

I used Blender and the CAD Sketcher add-on. Additionally, I used "https://imagy.app/resize-image-to-500kb" to get the images to the size required for uploading.
