I created this project for the Printables Catch-All Tray Contest. It was a fun project with the primary challenge being I have a small printer, so I needed to create a modular solution that I could print and still be large enough to be useful.
I wanted the design to fit with the modular aspect of the print, so I went with a metal-looking design where it looks like pieces are riveted together, thus leaning into the modular design. The rivets also inspired the tongue-in-cheek name for the model.
There are a variety of configurations you can go with (or make your own combo):
- Full print
- tray-wide.stl
- tray-middle.stl
- tray-narrow.stl
- tray-connecter.stl x 2
- Simple print
- Just go with tray-wide.stl or tray-narrow.stl depending on your needs
- Secret compartment print
- The middle tray has an optional lid (tray-middle-ring-lid.stl) that creates a small hidden compartment while doubling as a ring holder
