I'm using my RM4 Mini to control a humidifier, but the IR command that turns it on also turns on another a device that's within range. To solve the problem, I designed a cover that limits the field of view and only allows the RM4 Mini to beam commands in one direction.
There are three versions with different sizes of openings. The largest one has a 90-degree opening, and is the only one I've tested.
