This is a shrek cookie cutter for sand cookies or shortbread cookies.

Before trying i recomend it to apply a resin layer to close all the gaps and imperfections, this way you reduce the chance of getting bacteria stuck and it is easier to clean afterwards.

Here is a basic recipe to try it:

  • 150g butter (room temperature)
  • 50g vanilla sugger
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod or a little bit of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 300g of flower
  1. Mix the soft butter with the vanilla sugar and the sugar in a food processor.
  2. Cut the vanilla pod open lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds and add them to the butter. (or use vanilla extract
  3. Add the egg and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add the flour to the dough spoon by spoon in the food processor.
  5. Make a ball of the dough. Wrap it in cling film and let it set in the fridge.
  6. Preheat the oven to 175 °C.
  7. Roll out the dough on the work surface to about 8mm thickness. Cut out cookies with a cookie cutter.
  8. Line a baking tray with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Put the cookies on it.
  9. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  10. Let them cool on a wire rack/cooling rack.
  11. Taste the cookies.
  12. Great success!
