This is an adapter for making a disc sander out of an old HDD.
The HDD I reused needed 12V and 5V to stay turned on. To be able to use the sander with a single power supply I to supplied 12V to both HDD and a DC buck converter to get the needed 5V. You need to check MOLEX pinout to see where the power should be delivered. After screwing the printed plate to the motor I used Velcro for sticking the sanding pads.
