This machine was designed with the goal of being fully 3d printed. The price for this machine (Excluding control electronics) is about 600$. The frame is made up of 2020 and 2080 extrusions. The motion is handled by MGN15H linear rails, ball screws and Nema 23 Stepper motors (Nema 17 for Z-Axis). Due to this there very little play and the entire machine rather rigid and accurate.

It has a usable build volume of 360x360x75mm

I have recently made a video on how I upgradede this machine with aluminum parts.

If interested about the build processand capabilities, I made a whole video series about that:

Warning: mount_01 leaves mains voltage exposed. Don't use it if you don't think medigating that problem or fixing it.

Update (27.07.2022): After a bit of machining I had to make a change to the machine. I updated the Z_Carrig_Main_Part model to use a better mounting solution for the 500w spindle. I also updated the Spacer_Normal_14 model (now newSpacer). I'm not making it part of the main file because I haven't and won't test it. However, it should be a much better solution since it eliminates the need to drill precise holes in the baseplate. I would recomend using it instead of Spacer_Normal_14 and Spacer_corner_1.

Notes:

Support is required for some parts. To get strong parts, higher infills and more perimeters are used. Layer height: 0.2mm (higher layer height beneficial for stronger parts and faster prints). You need to reorient the 3D models to get the best results.
