I remixed the BlackOpal as a frame with single arms, as I could not fit the whole frame onto my CNC machine.

Another nice bonus is that you can just use smaller single pieces to reduce the size of basematerial needed.

This is still not a crash resistant frame but if you should break an arm you can now replace it.

As with the original if you want to use M3 or larger screws to mount your electronics you need to increase the holes from 2mm to 3mm and the holes in the arms to about 6mm to fit the larger screwheads.

In theory this should be about 4g more weight than the original (measured in CAD)

The missing files for the vinyl skin can be taken from BlackOpal's original design.

To make this frame youself you need 4mm and 1.5mm CFK plates.

I included an optional middlepiece to fit in the space between the arms. This should give them a bit more impact stability.

The arms are deisgned to be made from 4mm thick CFK plates, if you want a sturdier but heavier frame you can also use 5mm (in theory even more).

Plates

The camera plates need to be made from 1.5mm CFK otherwise the slits will be too small.
Bottom and top are designed to be 1.5mm but can be any size you wish.

3D Print everything:

To print this I suggest you use a tough ABS or PC that should work in this case as the drone is supposed to be flown more slowly than aggressively. For layerheight best use 0.2 for the frame and 0.1 for the camera mounts. Use as many walls as you can as this will significantly increase the stiffnes of the arms.
