Unfortunately I had some trouble with my iPhoneXS and the wireless charging compartment in my car. So I needed a fall back solution to store and charge my phone while driving.
In addition to the charging issue I mislaying it quite often - just forget to take it out of the charging box … it's not there if you can't see it … ( lag of object permanence )
This 3D printed solution uses a clamp mechanism to lock the cradle below the sliding cover and some magnets to stabilize the phone.
For me it's now much better than the given solution ;-)
The model consist of 3 parts and I used brass inserts and screws to fix them together but you might also merge them down to just on peace.
