I'm totally in sync with JimSheldon's message with his plaque.
However, I wanted to express this with an image of a live “grump" .. not one past his prime!
I found Longquang's stencil of Grumpy on thingiverse.com and with the help of Windows 3d Builder's stamp function and TinkerCad, I was able to produce a “Grumpy” that I liked.
It took some work to get Jim's model to work with my Grumpy, but it finally happened.
I wanted to print in three colours and that worked just fine (for me), however it was a 5+ hour print on my Mini+.
So I did a couple of things.
- I reduced the size in Slicer to 95% so that it fitted comfortably on my Mini+ bed.
- I removed about 1mm from the base of Jim's design. It's not as thick or sturdy, but it reduced to the Time to 3+ hours.
It may look like the thinner version is only 2 colours, but it's not. I used Silk White, Silk Black and Metal Grey.
I'm happy with the end result and happy to share.
