Catnip Bubbles Set
A Catnip Bubbles Set containing two wands, a jar to store the catnip bubbles in and a stand to hold everything.
My cats love playing with catnip bubbles and I enjoy watching them chase after them.. so it's a win win cat toy! You can either buy catnip bubbles online or make them yourself! I prefer to make it myself because it's quick and really easy to make. If you want to give it a shot, here is the catnip bubbles recipe I use: https://meowhoo.com/how-to-make-catnip-bubbles/
Please feel free to remix this as you please. All I ask is that you give me credit as the original creator. Also, if you end up printing this, please share some photos of it and let me know what you think!

Print Settings and Part List
Everything was printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at 250mm/s on an AnkerMake M5. No supports or brims are needed. Each of the .stl's are oriented properly and should be ready to be sliced and printed.
I have also included the .gcode for each part so you can see the average print time and filament usage. Do not use the included .gcode to print!! Make sure you slice the .stl's yourself, each printer is different.
Below are the six (6) parts for this model, along with the print settings and filament used for each.
Notes: Before printing Bottle.stl (1hr 8min print time at 250mm/s), I recommend printing [TEST] Bottle.stl (34min at 250mm/s) to check your settings and verify it'll be watertight.

Bottle.stl
- Layer Height: 0.12mm
- You can go as high as .15mm but to keep it watertight, I would not go any higher than .15mm. The smaller the better when it comes to being watertight
- Perimeters: 6
- You can go as low as 4, but its recommended to have 4 or more to make it watertight
- Bottom/Top Layers: 6 Bottom, 7 Top
- This setting isn't as important, however I recommend keeping it above 5 layers just to be safe
- Infill: 15% Gyroid
- With the walls being as thin as they are, infill settings aren't too important. I just picked this because 15% felt right.
- Filament: Overture PETG Transparent (Clear)
- You can use PLA or PLA+ for this and still have it watertight, just be sure to pay attention to the Layer Height and Perimeter settings.
--
Lid.stl
- Layer Height: 0.16mm
- Perimeters: 3
- Bottom/Top Layers: 4 Bottom, 5 Top
- Infill: 25% Gyroid
- This will give the lid some weight. The more infill, the heavier it will be.
- Filament: Overture PETG Gold
--
Wands.stl
- Layer Height: 0.16mm
- Perimeters: 3
- Bottom/Top Layers: 4 Bottom, 5 Top
- Infill: 15% Gyroid
- Filament: Hatchbox PLA Cool Gray
Note: I've also included .stl's of each wand on it's own. Use the same settings above if you are going to print individual wands.
--
Paw Base.stl
- Layer Height: 0.20mm
- Perimeters: 3
- Bottom/Top Layers: 4 Bottom, 5 Top
- Infill: 30% Gyroid
- Just like the lid, the more infill the heavier this will be. With it being the base, I opted for it to be on the heavier side.
- Filament: Overture PETG Rock White
--
Nub Caps.stl
- Layer Height: 0.20mm
- Perimeters: 3
- Bottom/Top Layers: 4 Bottom, 5 Top
- Infill: 15% Gyroid
- Filament: Overture PETG Black
--
Wand Stand.stl
- Layer Height: 0.16mm
- This gives the bubbles a smoother finish, if you want an even smoother finish, use 0.12mm.
- Perimeters: 3
- Bottom/Top Layers: 4 Bottom, 5 Top
- Infill: 15% Gyroid
- Filament: BBLIFE PLA Acid Blue

Adhesion Issues?
- Try printing with a 8-10mm brim.
Quality Issues?
- Try printing at a slower speed (start decreasing the speed by 10-15mm/s) or make the layer height smaller (eg: If you're printing at .20mm, try using a .16mm).
Watertight Issues?
- The main things to watch when making something watertight are the layer height and the perimeter. If you are seeing water leak from the bottle, double check that the layer height is .15mm or smaller. Also double check that the perimeter is set to a value higher than 4. Instructions
If you have to apply some pressure to put any of the parts together, that's normal. The tolerance is set for everything to have a snug fit.
- Print the parts
- Screw Lid.stl onto Bottle.stl
- Put each of the covers from Nub Covers.stl onto Paw Base.stl.
- Put Wand Stand.stl into the smaller of the two holes on Paw Base.stl
- Put each of the wands from Wands.stl onto the Wand Stand.stl.
- Place the Bottle.stl into the larger of the two holes on Paw Base.stl
Once you have put everything together, take the lid off, pour some catnip bubbles into the bottle and start having fun!
