From a previous offering, I added a DC motor and gear box to turn the bird for cat to chase.

This bird swings around at about 1 revolution in 6 seconds.
It’s guaranteed to work till the cat sees it and pounces.
The arm is quite flexible, so the bird oscillates up and down 1 to 2“while attempting to escape from its predator.
I converted a servo motor to a simple DC motor by removing the servo board and rotation limit pin. Probably should have used a simple DC motor, but this has a good gear ratio and was in my inventory.
Two CR2032 batteries provide power.
PLA Gears are printed in vase mode and work well together. The vase mode seems to facilitate a nice press fit on the larger drive shaft without multiple design iterations.
The “string” connected to the bird is PLA filament drawn from a Prusa MinI. It’s quite strong and can be knotted without breaking.
The swinging arm consists of two arms, joined by 1 or two clips. The arms were limited in length to print on a Prusa Mini.
Wish I could figure out how to include a .mov.
