I found my Sonos Roam speaker would accidentally slide off of its charging base. This print acts as a retainer that makes it less likely that the speaker slides off accidentally.

Features:

  • You can still easily remove the speaker by lifting the speaker straight up
  • Does not interfere with the nice rubber bottom of the base

Printing tips:

  • Optimized to print with 0.4 nozzle and 0.20 layers
  • If you want the retainer to more aggressively hold the speaker, scale the model in the Z direction to make it taller
  • If you find that this model does not fit after you print it, you could try adjusting the model in the X and Y direction to make it slightly larger or smaller

Hats off to Melon3D for making the profile of the speaker in their model and for posting the STEP file - thanks! The STEP file made it straightforward for me to build off of their work to make my design.
