The joints of our clothesdryer (the type that sits on the bathtub) did not lock anymore, since the teeth were worn out (see image with blue part). When I realized that a new dryer would cost about 40 euros, I decided to redesign the joint.
The two halves are exactly the same, just one of them has been mirrored! The spring inside the joint halves was salvaged from the original joint. To allow easy locking/unlocking, I inserted a M5 hex-head screw and printed a knob. You have to tap the knob with an M5 thread and put a (preferrably bigger) washer under the knob. The joint sits very tight, but anyway I provided a small hole in each part so if you like you may insert a self-tapping screw.
Edit 2023-03-12: Modified the joints slightly (simplified the design), yielding faster print and less filament.
I printed the part in PETG with 0.24mm layers.
