frame mount needs support
used threaded inserts to fix the spool and round magnets to mount it to the frame (needs to be magnetic)
the part fixed to the door used a small screw to stay put
it worked fine but my cats didn't like the sound of the wire spinning the spool so I continued my search and came up with a rubber band based mechanism you can find here: https://www.printables.com/de/model/395716-rubber-band-based-automatic-door-closer
