I needed a mount for my StarLink antenna that I could adjust to the angle that I needed for my roof. I also wanted it to be sturdy and robust for peace of mind.
I have printed in PETG but if you have good success with ABS, I would suggest using ABS.
There are three components to the mount;
- the bayonet adaptor that fits and locks to the latest Starlink antenna
- the wedge, where the bayonet can be locked into the precise angle position for your application, and,
- the mating base to secure the wedge, base, and antenna securely to the roof or whatever slanted mounting position you will be using.
Printing times will obviously vary however this is a long print. I have the luxury of a 300mm X 300mm bed so I did not have to angle my parts on the bed. ONLY Component 3 requires support.
I printed at .2mm layer height, with 1.2mm walls, top and bottom, with 25% infill.
Hardware required;
- One 3/8" X 3 ¼" carrige bolt and nut
- Two ¼" X 3 ¼" lag bolts and washers
- Bitumen, if mounting on a roof.
Enjoy!
UPDATE: Added 2 more locking positions on the bayonet for the StarLink dish.
