Hello! And welcome to the design of yours truly, JBear40_ , RC Airplane design & build. This took 1 month and 14 days to build. After 4 designs of an airplane, many Youtube videos, and multiple weeks of failure, I was able to surface on the top. I have been battling my Ender 3 Pro for a long time, troubleshooting, tweaking, and complaining. Working endless hours on solutions that fixed a problem for 10 seconds, only to cause more issues, This is my final piece of work.
I learned how to use Fusion 360, Cura (I use PrusaSlicer), and what it means to make a printable model through an open source software called Blender. I have come so far, and hope to gain only recognition, peace, and … well a flyable aircraft. I poured my last dollar into creating what will be, hopes of a new printer.
This is the make-or-break model, Mr. REEEEEEEE- ‘as he flies by’ printed in PrusaSlicer Alpha 2.6. I am leaving the slicing files to you, as I dont believe mf3s do justice, as each printer is different.
The model itself has a hollow inside top half, and a cylinder indention in the bottom half for your motor to sit in. The wings are designed using Fusion 360, where I incorporated holes and ‘ribs’ in the design of the wing to make it much lighter and symmetrical. Each wing has a big pin built into it to attach to the base of the plane, or to the first wing.
Here are the specifications I used to print.
