The SC743 case unfortunately uses non standard mounting holes for the ATX power supply.
The Supermicro original power supplies have screws on the top and right side of the case and none of the standard ATX holes.
So mounting a standard ATX PSU is difficult.
This adapter unfortunately have to push the ATX power supply inside the case a bit, this serves two purposes, to clear the rear fan “box” so ATX side fan is not obstructed and to get the screw holes to work.
NOTE: when you remove the Supermicro PSU you have screws at the top but also there is two on the right hand side and for some strange reason one of the screw holes is behind the rack rail on the right side.
So you have to remove the rail to see the hole (took me some time to figure this out)
