I acquired a mass amount of resistors one day and needed to organize them. I already had a number of Plano 3600 boxes. They had 4 rows of bins and if each row was divided into 3 then I could store 12 different resistors in each tote. But I wanted it clear and easy to see. So this model consists of custom dividers. Each divider is 1mm thick and has a label on it. When these 1mm dividers are placed back to back they are exactly the same size as the dividers that come with the Plano boxes.

I print them using PETG (no supports needed) and 8 to a page. This is enough for half of a container. Note that the two facing the middle of each row have the same text on them for the center compartment. I slice them with a filament change at 1.20mm. This allows me to put in a different color filament for the lettering on the dividers.

I also made a “Plate” which I screw on the end of each container. The plate is also 1mm thick plus 0.2mm of text (filament change at 1.20mm same as above).

Not sure if your storing resistors but whatever you store it seems like a great way to label things where the labels don't get lost. It worked well for me.

I created the model using OpenSCAD which is free to download. The source is included here so you can create whatever labels you may need.
