How I Designed This
How to make a rock.
The first thing to do in generating a rock is to start somewhere. I decided to start with a sphere. For a while I was trying to understand how to manipulate a primitive sphere, but then I came across this blog post about creating organic shapes.
I was resolved to try to create a simple sphere with hull. Which proved a bit difficult, but I decided to brute force it, so if my math's a bit contrived, that is why. But eventually I got there! You can see this sphere in customizer by setting the deformation and skew to 0.It's a lot like a sphere, but has extra poly's connecting the vertices, which is fine. According to the blog, using sphere's is wize, but I didnt see much difference between cubes and spheres. Either way, the hull creates a poly around the points!
With that, I just had to add some randomization to make the object less uniform, and I had my rock.
