update:

Three years have passed since the original release. Now, a new version has been released that separates the snap connector from the main part. This design is significantly stronger. Moreover, its primary benefit is that if the connector does not fit, you can simply scale the small connector slightly and reprint just that part to achieve the perfect fit!

The dimensions remain identical to the original version, so you can print new pieces in new colors to seamlessly blend them with your existing copies!

Description of the Original Release

The goal is to assemble four identical pieces into either a single ring or two interconnected rings, as shown. Once you complete one, another challenge awaits!

It's harder than its innocent polycubes look. Hanayama is selling a slightly advanced version of this in cast metal as “Cast Quartet”, and they rate it as a Level 6, which is the highest level.

Original model is hard to print without support. This one split each piece in 2 halves then snap together, which makes it a really easy print, no support needed.

Each .stl file represents a different size. Choose one and print 4x times. After print snap the 2 halves together. Usually you are good to go. In case of too loose or too tight, you could use a little help of glue or hammer, accordingly.
