4inch dust collection port. It looks like a cylinder, but it is slightly tapered. The dimensions of this roughly match what is built in to some of my tools that have built-in dust ports. A standard 4inch hose can fit over it, and all the quick-connectors I have fit on it.

First use of this was to add a more convenient dust port to my table saw. I used a drill to make holes and secured the port to plywood using bolts. I had to trim the flange a bit due to a measurement error in my placement of the hole on the plywood.
