Bookends with a sporty touch. Look at these girls and boys! Aren't they brave? Climbing up your bookshelf. :-)

The bookends are hollow inside. During a printing pause you can fill them with sand (or salt or sugar). This will give them enough weight to securely hold the books.

The width, height and depth of each bookend is 110/177/172 mm, so they fit on any bookshelf.

Printing information

Design Software: Fusion 360
Slicer: Prusa Slicer

Layer height: 0.20/0.40 mm (0.4/0.6 nozzle)
Infill: Gyroid 10%
Support: none

If you're printing the bookends, remember to pause the process at 135.00 mm in the slicer. Then, gently fill up the bookend with sand (or sugar or salt) until it's around 1 cm away from the top edge. Be careful not to add too much, or else you might end up with a sandstorm once the printer fan kicks in! Finally, make sure to clear away any sand or dust from the surface before resuming the print.

Assembly information

Assembling is a piece of cake. Just slide the climbers into their bookends and voila!
Usually they hold on their own because they have little clearance. If not, a drop of glue will do the trick.
