Hello! This model is a Kalimba, a simple musical instrument that originated from Africa and makes a music box like sound.  Sometimes this instrument is also called a thumb piano.

You can buy these for fairly cheap but this can also be a fun project to put together instead of buying a ready made one.

This file can be printed in two pieces and then it can be glued together or screwed together.

Print the body of the kalimba and then the lid.  If you would like you can also add a pickup before you glue or screw it shut so you can plug it into an amp. Print the instrument in a stronger material at a higher infill maybe 35% at the lowest (I did 50). Print with the integrated stand on the build plate with supports.

This file is just the body so you will need a set of tines and a bridge. These can be purchased online (the ones I purchased I got from Amazon at this link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091H9FLL6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 ) Once you insert the tines you can tune them by adjusting the position of the tines with a tuner on your phone.

Happy printing.
