*Still a work in progress.*

I work at a research institute and designed this to help some frieneds to use these e-trash scrap micro stepper motors to move a sample under some experiment at the XY plane.

This can be useful for anyone that would loke to make a small and cheap 3d printer, laser engraver, small LSA 3d printers etc. Anything that need 40mm of XY travel :D

The movement kinematics is inspired by the Ultimake's cinematic with two axis moving to avoit just pile up both motors adding too much height and leverage for vibration.

It uses 10x bushings from the same old CD/DVD drivers. The ones with a metal car usually have 2 of these bushings each. Be careful to not "hurt" the bushing while trying to remove them. The stepper motor is the symmetric type. The leadscrew's nut will be made out of hot glue or epoxy putty.

So.... That is the plan. Next week I'll post if it worked and any mods made.

*A prototype was left been printed and next week I'll know if it will works.*

Updates =======

Uploaded V3 version that does not use any bushings. Still need some tweaking but works much better. The bushings are very sensitive and not hard enough to not suffer from not so good fit surfaces that our beloved production process suffers. Also PLA is a great bushing material for such light loads :D

I'll modify the base frame to accommodate another variant of the stepper motor that have the wiring below and not on the top. As soon as it is print tested I'll publish it.
