As explained in the summary, this is a softer version of the after market Pokemon GO auto-catcher. The added layers on the front face are for fall protection, or just protection from clanging around on your keychain/phone case/etc. I would recommend making this out of TPU, or NinjaFlex, or some other soft rubbery type material as you will need to stretch the material to get your auto-catcher in/out of the case (for charging).
