a second version of the iris. This one is thinner and has no external bumps for the screws that hold it together.
Some hints about assembly.
- The layering of the leaves needs some smoothing. In particular the inner and outer edges need to be flattend. See the photos
- put the pins in the leaf
- smooth the inside of the leaf mount to remove the layering. There are some edges that are ramped those need to be smooth. The tall side does not need to be smoothed.
- place the leafs and the pins in place
- glue the pins in from the back side.
- after the glue dries put all the leafs out see photo.
- place the cam plate on moving back and forth to get all the pins in you need to line up the correct pin with the correct slot. see photo
- place the retainer plate on and screw together. with M3 socket head cap screws
